Merci beaucoup Smiley

Hallo minpin

mais oui: Smiley

Hello,

I am from Germany.
Unfortunately, my French is not that good, I can read and understand it a whole lot better than write or speak it myself.... as you might already have concluded from the headline of my post.
Therefore I would highly appreciate it if anyone here could translate my request into proper French)

I am looking for information on hypothyroidism in dogs: diagnosis, treatment, therapy, experiences, research, dissertations - pretty much everything - in France and on French.

My own internet research ended up with only very few information, possibly because I used the wrong keywords or possibly because the data is only accessible through a 3615 Minitel-Net.

Maybe someone could provide me with the information? Direct me to links or maybe even email me relevant data?

Thank you very much in advance.

Kind regards,
ou en francais – test Smiley :

OK thanks, danke ! I can translate quickly but I know some canadian vets who speak English and may be able to help you too.

I recommend that you add "chez le chien" to your title to attract the attention a bit more...

Meanwhile here is the translation in French :

Hello,

Ma propre recherche internet n'a conduit qu'a peu d'information.

Salutations.

But it is a Forum Canin…I have changed it..

In the USA and in Canada most of the informations - specially the begin of the hypothyroidism (subclinical hypothyroidism --> only behavioral issues) - based on the works of Dr. Dodds. Also in germany.
A friend of mine told me, that in same universities in France (Marseille?) exist researches not based on the works of Dr. Dodds.

Montpellier rather.... much research work is being done there...

Yes it is a Forum Canin but it's best to specify at quick glance. I hope someone will be able to help you.

Did you look on the National Veterinary Schools sites of Maisons Alfort (ENVA), Nantes, Toulouse, Lyon, those may have some information ... or you may try to mail them they might be able to direct you to sites, but I found that some sites are reserved to vets and unless you are registered as a vet you cannot access or ask questions...

They might be able to help see rubrique "chercheur"on their site :

No, I had never seen this page before. But I will check it out immediately, thanks.

Correct - I have finished school ages ago and without permanent practise, the active vocabulary is rather poor. Although I have to admit that I deeply regret this fact and at least try to read as much French as possible to prevent further lacks of vocabulary.
Thanks everyone for your kind understanding. Smiley
