As passionate breeders specializing in primitive and Nordic breeds since 2002, we have been raising Swedish Vallhunds (Vatgotaspets) in a family environment since 2011. All our females—as well as the four generations of dogs we have kept at our kennel—are free from hip and elbow dysplasia, clear of hereditary eye diseases (verified via ECVO/MOHC and DNA testing), and possess a full set of teeth. Our breeding program prioritizes dogs with impeccable health and temperament—a standard we also apply to the stud dogs we select from abroad, including those from the breed’s countries of origin. Thanks to their sound conformation, light-footed movement (despite having solid bone structure), and calm, attentive nature, females from our kennel have achieved championship titles in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Macedonia. Furthermore, all have passed the TAN (Test d’Aptitudes Naturelles)—the official behavioral assessment required by the French breed club. Their siblings abroad have also achieved great success in fields such as agility, herding, and tracking/search work. The Swedish Vallhund is an intelligent, hardy small breed that constantly seeks its owner’s attention to engage in new activities; it loves to learn and enjoys playing with children. The breed possesses a strong, spirited character—a trait rooted in its historical origins as a herder of elk (moose). For this reason, we raise our dogs in a family setting. This ensures they learn to respect children and animals of all kinds—from small pets like hamsters or rabbits (ensuring they do not hunt them) to large-breed dogs (preventing unnecessary barking or conflict) and even horses (ensuring they are not fearful and can naturally perform their herding duties with cattle or sheep). They are also socialized in cars, in the city, and in shopping centers. All our puppies are sold with their birth certificate or export pedigree. They leave our home dewormed and with an international passport containing records of vaccinations against all diseases, including boosters—this applies even to puppies that remain with us for training until they are 3 or 4 months old. They are also covered by a complimentary 2-month pet insurance policy. Please contact us, preferably by phone.
